Missions

MSPC is a Missions-Minded Church

Our Missions Committee is a devoted group of members and friends who sponsor national and international mission trips. We have undertaken 25 adult and youth mission trips in the past 25 years. We have served in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jamaica, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Haiti. We have worked in Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and Florida.

MSPC supports the following ministries:

We currently support the Rev. Mark Adams and his border ministry Frontera de Cristo, a Presbyterian USA/Mexico border ministry in the sister cities of Agua Prieta, Mexico and Douglas, Arizona. In an area where life and death is a reality, Frontera de Cristo provides church development, health ministry, family ministry as well as the New Hope Community Center, Mission Education and the Just Trade Center.

Habitat for Humanity
www.miamihabitat.org

Since 1989, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami has helped change the lives of nearly 1000 families in Miami-Dade County. Throughout 2013, we are seeing a renewed dedication to the Liberty City Community as well as the birth of our newest community, Habitat Landings, located in South Miami Heights which will total 45 homes at its conclusion. MSPC partners with Habitat with financial support, and with volunteer builds several times throughout the year. You don’t need to be an expert builder, just come learn and lend a hand any way you can!
