Raised in Indiana, Dennis Andrews’ life has been a series of callings to serve God’s people. Dennis is a life-long learner. He has a Master of Public Administration, a Doctoral Degree in Education and a Master of Divinity. His vast knowledge has provided him with the opportunities to serve a diverse group of people. As an officer of the law, a mayor and advisor to numerous organizations, Dennis has helped the people of his community and the world.
In 1999, Dennis was called to the ministry. He has guided 3 congregations to keep Christ at the center of all they do, to value tradition and embrace change in order to grow both physically and spiritually, and to become true disciples of Jesus. Throughout his ministry he straddles the secular and spiritual worlds. As he says, “We naturally want people to come to the church, but when they don’t then the church must come to them.”

Catherine Woods – MSPCS Preschool Director and MSPC Children’s Ministries Director
I was born and raised in Miami. I spent most of my childhood summers with my mom in her hometown, Long Island, Bahamas along with my three siblings of which I am the youngest. I attended Miami-Dade College and received my Associate of Arts in Elementary Education and then Florida Atlantic University where I graduated Cum Laude in 2003 with my Bachelor of Art in Elementary Education with my ESOL Endorsement. I interned at Sunshine Elementary School in Miramar and was offered a position as a first grade teacher for the following school year, which I gratefully accepted. I have been at Sunshine now for 11 years and have taught first through third grades, both regular and high achieving / gifted populations. I have served as team leader for the majority of those years and was also voted Teacher of the Year in 2012.
I have four sons and amidst child rearing, I have found the time to turn a personal passion of blending body scrubs into a small business, “Catherine’s Things.”
