Events & Activities
As MSPC moves into its next step in the transition, we hope you will participate. Thank you to all of you that gave your input with the Church Assessment Tool (CAT). Your input has allowed us to decipher what areas that we need to focus on next as your church leaders.
Our next stage in the transition will be a crucial piece as we move into our strategic plan. We are offering several listening sessions around (1) building relationships and (2) worship. These two areas were ones that you all said were important to you and to the life of the church.

Christian or not, all are welcome. Join us!

This year, MSPC’s Lenten sermon series and study will go hand-in-hand. Throughout Lent, we will be focusing on the theme: Called to Repair the Breach.
The idea of the church being called to be the repairer of broken walls will be our theme for Lent. After worshipping with us on Sundays at 11 am, we will host a study via ZOOM at 12:15 pm. Each study session will focus on the missions we support through One Great Hour of Sharing. And, you will have an opportunity to hear about the important work of restoration and shalom that our church is doing around the world. If you would like to participate in the study, contact Brian Dille: email@example.com.
We hope you will join us in a daily Lenten devotional: The Way to Shalom: A Lenten Journey to Peace and Wholeness from February 17th through April 4th. This series was created by Presbyterians Today and is available for free online at https://www.presbyterianmission.org/wp-content/uploads/Lent-2021.pdf You can also download it by clicking HERE.
If you need help accessing the devotional, don’t hesitate to reach out to the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org
You can still join our antiracism study group. They have decided to start their second book, “How to Be an Antiracist” on Feb. 13th. This group will be facilitated and led by spiritual director, Rev. Diane Shoaf. The group will spend 6 weeks on this book. To register and receive the ZOOM link, email Rev. Diane Shoaf at email@example.com.
We will start our Lent with an Ash Wednesday offering of Ashes and Prayers. A tent will be placed at the corner of our Chapel Parking lot, across from the Miami Shores Village Recreation Center. From 9 am until 4 pm, I will be there, as well as Lisa Sullivan, and several of our Elders. Prayers will be said and ashes will be given out to-go containers. Masks will be worn and social distancing will be observed. Please, come get your ashes, and let others know about this opportunity.
