Join us for our second Lenten event at the Miami Shores Unity Day celebration on March 3. We will be sharing MSPC’s ministries and offering prayer to the community. Please sign up for a one-hour time slot with Nora or Bob at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join us for the first of six Lenton challenges to serve our community during the 40 days of Lent. On Wednesday, February 28 we will leave the MSPC campus at 9 am to help the Sisters serve lunch to the homeless of Overtown. The MOC shelter is located at 724 NW 17th Street in Miami. All are welcome to participate but please sign up in advance at email@example.com.
Mark the beginning of Lent with worship in the Chapel at 7pm. The imposition of ashes will take place, and all are welcome to participate.
Our Simple Soup Lenten Challenge Kick off is on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 14th in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm. We still need volunteers to bring soup. Information will be available on our Lenten Challenge Missions with dates, times and venues. Some of the mission events planned are Missionaries of Charity, Unity Day, Sinai Plaza Annex, Chapman House and a Miami Shores Village Project. Ash Wednesday Service will follow at 7:00 pm in the Chapel.
Our 2018 Souper Bowl of Caring collection will benefit Pass-It On Ministry. From now until Super Bowl Sunday, February 4th, we will be collecting canned goods and monetary donations in the breezeway after services and in the church office. We will cap off this year’s drive with a Souper Bowl of Caring Party in the Youth Room at 6:00 pm. The game will be televised and there will be pizza and refreshments. Bring your friends and a dish to share! All are welcome!
All are encouraged to join us at Chapman Partnership on Sunday, January 21. The group meets at 4:15 pm every third Sunday of the month. Community service hours will be given for those who participate. Dinner service should conclude around 7:00 pm. Chapman House is located at 1550 N. Miami Avenue.
The Springtime Gardens of Victoria and Vancouver
Come join us as we greet 2018 with good friends, great fellowship and a delicious 3-course dinner featuring chicken piccata. Our program features Windy Johnston’s pictorial visit to the gardens of Victoria and Vancouver. Windy combines a love of nature and an ability to perfectly capture it on camera.
Dinner tickets ($10.00) will be on sale in the before and after 11:00 am Services. Reservations are a must, and the deadline is Noon, January 21st. We’d love to have you join us, and we’ll be happy to save you a seat! All ages welcome!
Christmas Eve features two sensational candlelight gatherings packed full of great music.
At 6 p.m. the children will sing and Santa will make an appearance to explain the reason for the season. Santa will be available for cookies and milk and pictures with children following 6 p.m. worship. At 9 p.m. the bell choir will join an already wonderful collection of musicians.
