The Promise of a Savior
Welcome to the story of our Savior’s birth! You will learn more about why this little baby is so important to everyone – even now, more than 2000 years later.
Thousands of years before Jesus was born, God promised the birth of a Savior. God shared this plan with people called prophets. Prophets were people who had a unique ability to hear God talking to them, and their job was to tell everyone what God was saying. The truth of their words is what helps us have faith to know that Jesus is who he said he was.
From the Prophet Isaiah (Isa. 7:14, 9:2, 6): “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign of hope and freedom: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel…” – which means “God with Us” – “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light…on them a light has shined… For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named…Prince of Peace.”

Miles de años antes del nacimiento de Jesús, Dios prometió el nacimiento de un Salvador. Dios compartió este plan con personas llamadas profetas.
