Many years after the prophets, there lived a young woman named Mary in the small town of Nazareth.  She was young, poor, and engaged to a carpenter named Joseph.  One day, an angel named Gabriel appeared before Mary with a very important message: that God has chosen Mary to be the mother of our Savior. When Mary told Joseph all that had happened, he was troubled.  In his sleep, the Angel Gabriel appeared to Joseph and explained to him that God wants Joseph to care for Mary’s baby, God’s son, and that they will call the baby Jesus.

Muchos años después de los profetas, vivía una joven llamada María en el pequeño pueblo de Nazaret. Era joven, pobre y estaba comprometida con un carpintero llamado José. Un día, un ángel llamado Gabriel se apareció ante María con un mensaje muy importante: Dios ha elegido a María para ser la madre de nuestro Salvador. Cuando María le contó a José todo lo que había sucedido, él se preocupó. Mientras dormía, el ángel Gabriel se le apareció a José y le explicó que Dios quiere que José cuide al bebé de María, el hijo de Dios, y que ellos llamen al niño, Jesús.
